Beans & Greens was selected as a NH Farm of Distinction in 1998. This program recognizes those farms that make an effort to keep their busy farm stands neat and attractive.
Each new season for Beans & Greens Farmstand starts in late winter when the first flower seeds are germinated and young cuttings are planted in the greenhouses. This growing season escalates until the doors open for retail business in late April. Early season flower sales consist of a large selection of perennials, awesome hanging baskets, vegetable plants and annuals as Memorial Day creeps in to mark the high point of the spring flower sales. The taste buds start to water as the strawberry season comes into full swing near mid-June. July features a huge selection of homegrown vegetables and the countdown to corn season. A barnyard of young animals entertains young and old alike and a live observation beehive teaches all the meaning of “busy as a bee” in the barn! Our on-site bakery offers fresh baked breads, pies, cookies and assorted pastries. As the summer wanes the big, beautiful mums grown between the greenhouses out back add color to the displays. Customers come to enjoy getting “lost” in our corn maze, select pumpkins, winter squashes, cornstalks, gourds and other fall decorations.
